Holly Robson
Announcer/Assistant Music Director
Edmonton's Classic Rock 97-3 K-ROCK

"'Another Space And Time' has a Peter Gabriel-meets-The Eagles feel to it - smooth rock with an undeniably addictive, eclectic feel. You sense the passion behind every word out of Mike LaRocque's mouth, from the rockier feel of "Stand" and "The Calling", to the haunting sound of the title track. The album's unique layering of guitars, bass, percussion, paired with tight harmonies and creatively sculpted songwriting, 'Another Space And Time' takes you on a journey of simple complexity that is both raw and refreshing, and just plain good! It is just another reason why Rule of Nines is poised at the front of the world's main stage - they have created a long awaited new sound experience."

Peter Fleck
Publisher City Light News, Calgary (February 28/02)

"I love those serendipitous moments when I pop in a CD from an artist I've never heard of before and then become enthralled with the music. Such was the case with 'Angel' by Edmonton's Rule of Nines. I found myself repeatedly playing the song, "Goin' To The River" followed by "Wash My Blues." The title track quickly became a quick favorite. Seeing the band in concert underlined the musical competence these guys bring to the stage with their unpretentious, lighthearted and relaxed, yet energetic performance. The biggest beef I have against Rule of Nines is that is had taken them eight years to record their first album."

Patrycja Romanowska
Edmonton Examiner (February 20/02)

"While Gretzinger labels the music of Rule of Nines as pop, the tunes on Angel have a clean grassroots-rock sound, a fleeting country influence and all in all, are very radio-friendly."

PMA Awards
Winnipeg, Manitoba (September 29/02)

"Rule of Nines is a five-piece band putting out a great acoustically influenced brand of melodic rock that is reminiscent of the Eagles."

Mike Bell
The Calgary Sun (October 4/02)

"It's nice when things kind of happen. Take Edmonton's rock act Rule of Nines and the band's CD 'Angel'. In the 11 months it's been out, the group has received a great deal of attention in its hometown - it's press kit is as thick as a small town phone book - and just returned from a trip to Winnipeg's Prairie Music Awards where it was nominated for Outstanding Christian Recording. Part of what people have connected with is the overwhelming sense of positivity on 'Angel'."

Asa Purdy
Strathmore Standard (August 1/02)

"When you start reading the lyrics, you understand why it took that long to lay down the tracks. It's clear the band delivers a message with each song."

Devon Dispatch News
(May 17/02)

"The band draws from an Eagles influence. The harmonies are very well put together and the music is made more solid by powerful lyrics."

Wayne Artherson
Vue Magazine (October 13/01)

"Rule of Nines isn't exactly rock, isn't exactly country and isn't exactly folk, but then again, it's all three and more. The Eagles are a definite influence."

The Edmonton Sun
(October 12/01)

"Rule of Nines have truly captured both mood and emotion. 'Angel' is a great addition to anyone's CD collection"

Bev Rudulfsen
St. Albert Gazette (October 10/01)

"The band's songs beseech listeners to feel compassion, to spare a thought for the pain and the joy of others. (Rule of Nines) spin out an introspective, almost tender sound, reminiscent of the Eagles."

Shannon Tyler
A-Channel's 'Wired'

"Rule of Nines play by the rules - the rules of great music."

Darren MacFayden
Producer/Director
CTV's 'Good Morning Canada'

"Rule of Nines was a true pleasure to work with. Often, a strong live band will struggle in the television environment, but the group came prepared with patience, professionalism and most importantly - good music! These ingredients made for some wonderful TV and as a result, I've converted from the ranks of a casual listener to an appreciative fan. It will only be a matter of time before Rule of Nines realizes the success that talent and hard work brings. I wish them all the best!"

Nathan Fillion
