Here we are in the fall of 2011 already. Where did the year go?
Still, it's been an exciting year and we're even more excited to announce that the new album is ready and it sounds great. The centerpiece of the album is the new song 'I Need You' and when you add in the mix of new vocals and remastering, 'Just a Moment Ago' is a must-have.
And then there is the CD Release show set for February 18, 2012 at the Arden Theatre in St. Albert which will also be special because that was also the venue for the Release show for the Rule of Nines' first album, 'Angel', a little over 10 years ago in the fall of 2001. Tickets are now available and at the time of writing, it's already well on its way to selling out so get your tickets now!

Wow… what a great year it has been so far! With gigs booked throughout 2010 and well into 2011 there seems to be no end in sight! As most of you know already we released our third full length album “Chasing Shadows” in 2007. The response was amazing! The reviews from both critics and fans alike were great. Thank you so much! The album release was followed by an extensive tour in support of the album. Once again, as its predecessors, ‘Chasing Shadows’ became an independent best seller and was nominated for another Canadian national music award – namely a ‘Canadian Covenant Award’. “Right Now”, a song off the CD which paints a clear picture of our times, was nominated for ‘Rock Song of the Year’. The single off the album entitled “The Call” was a radio as well as fan favourite and was played across North America. Further to this, the military troops in Afghanistan were able to hear the song via CBC radio which was so awesome for us as a band considering this tune was dedicated in their honour from the start!
2011 is around the corner and the band can’t wait! We have been working diligently on our next album which will be entitled “Just a Moment Ago”. After four studio projects (including “The Hammer Project”), we are putting together a compilation of all our best tunes. The ‘best of’ compilation will include variations of some of the bands best loved songs as well as brand new material. Both fans of the band as well as newcomers to the group will no doubt enjoy what the new CD has to offer. The new album is targeted for completion by the summer of 2011 and will be followed up once again by an extensive tour. We will keep you all posted about how the project is going – so far we couldn’t be happier! For now we hope everyone is doing well and God Bless!

Welcome to the new RuleOfNines.ca
In the last little while, we've had a great time meeting fans both old and new as well performing our music every chance we get and along with having to slow down to catch our collective breaths as well as up on our own lives here and there, how time has flown!
Now we've also decided that it was time to change the look of the website with a lot of the contents from the old site being carried over to the new one. There will be additions to come down the road but in the meantime, please check out the new site and feel free let us know what you think. We also don't want to carry on any further without taking the opportunity to thank Billie-Jo Munawych for all the great work she's done for our website.
This is still the place to come for all the latest news concerning the band as well as live performance dates and venues. We'll also be bringing you details on an upcoming project sometime in the near future.
For now, thanks again for visiting and especially for your support. We hope to see you soon.
